It's always better to link internal pages of your own site to the same window. Otherwise your users will have 15 window open by the time they navigate through your site.

In terms of SEO it doesn't really have any impact. Typically links that open in a new window are thought of as external links so you could actually be leaking page rank from your site and doing more damage. Not likely, but a possibility.
