Many people expect the Contact Us page to be just another page listed under the articles area in the Joomla admin. As you may have already found, no doubt in frustration, this is not the case.
The Contact Us page on a Joomla website is run by its own contact section within the back-end of Joomla*. This allows webmasters to have multiple Contact Us pages throughout a website if a certain section relates to a particular business function or person within the organisation.
*On certain websites where particular formatting of the Contact Us page has been required, the Contact Us page has been created as an Article and can be found under Article Manager.
To get to the contacts section of Joomla, go to Components / Contacts / Contacts
This will display a screen that looks like this:-
From there you will need to choose the contact you wish to edit (if you have multiple contacts). If you only have the one contact in here, choose that one and Select Edit (fourth button on the top right).
The details down the left hand side of the admin panel allow you to display various types of information such as phone numbers, street addresses etc. You can edit these details to suit.
The parameters section down the right hand side of this editing window lets you decide what details you would like to show or hide.
Once you've changed the details in this admin area simply click the Save or Apply button and you've updated your Contact Us page.
